Pendleton’s Country Market is a lively, family-run farm bursting with fresh vegetables, gorgeous cut flowers, and good old-fashioned farm charm!
For over 40 years, our on-farm market has been a local favorite—and during the summer, you can also find us at the Lawrence Farmers' Market and the Clinton Parkway Farmers Market.
We grow a wide variety of veggies, with much of our bounty going to our thriving CSA program with 150 happy subscribers. Our flowers add beauty to weddings, special events, and dining tables all over the area. Some of our crops are "pick-your-own", giving families the chance to connect with the land and enjoy a memorable day on the farm.
We're passionate about sustainable farming—using integrated pest management, drip irrigation, minimal tillage, buffer strips, wetlands, and composting to keep our soil healthy and our crops thriving. And in our greenhouses? It’s all about the good bugs—we use beneficial insects to keep pests in check, naturally!
Come see what makes Pendleton’s a place where food, flowers, and fun all grow together!
Special Events:
Stop by and watch the Kansas City Woodturners Association in action during the Farm Tour! They’ll be at the farm all weekend, demonstrating how to use a lathe and turning wood into beautiful creations. Kids will love seeing the wooden tops come to life — and you can take one home to support their organization!
John loves nothing more than cruising around on his tractor — and he’d love for you to join him! Climb aboard for a hayride to and from the pumpkin patch and our pick-your-own vegetable fields. It’s the perfect way to see the farm and soak up the fall atmosphere!
Come on out and fill a bucket with fresh green beans straight from the field. Here’s the deal: you pick, leave half with us, and your half is FREE! It’s a fun way to spend time outdoors, teach kids where their food comes from, and stock up on fresh beans for dinner.
Bring the kids and let them get a little dirty — there’s nothing like the excitement of pulling a sweet potato treasure straight from the soil. You’ll hear squeals of delight as they unearth their own prize veggies to take home for dinner. It’s fall fun you can eat!
Take a stroll to the field and pick your perfect pumpkin right off the vine — or, if you’re in a hurry, choose from the beautiful pumpkins we have ready in our displays by the market.
Either way, you’ll head home with the perfect pumpkin for your porch!
Stop by and chat with the NE Kansas Beekeepers Association while you’re at the farm. They’ll be here to answer questions about beekeeping, share tips for anyone curious about starting their own hives, and talk about the importance of pollinators. They’ll also have honey for sale — made by the very bees who call our farm home! It’s the sweetest souvenir you can take with you.
Prepared Food:
Our concession stand will be serving up delicious pulled pork sandwiches and tasty snacks to keep you fueled for a day on the farm.
And don’t miss the sweetest part — we’ll be scooping up K-State’s famous Call Hall ice cream with all the fixin’s for a fun, build-your-own treat!
