Come meet our Nigerian Dwarf Goats and tour our beautiful timber barn that has been featured in magazines and commercials. Spend time with us on the Santa Fe Trail perusing various local artisans with goodies to purchase for the holidays.
Our farm is located in rural SE Douglas County half mile from Captains Creek and just north of the Santa Fe Trail. Many Santa Trail artifacts have been found on the property and vicinity. The Farm features a new Timber Barn with a beautiful 360-degree view within a 40-acre hayfield. The barn has been featured in commercials, magazines and calendars. Timber barns have been replaced by steel buildings due to cost. This barn is an attraction and will be open for visitors and a tour. Our timber barn hosts events throughout the year.
We have a 40 acre brome hay field that we use for our goats and sell to others. We raise Nigerian Dwarf Goats and have a small apple orchard. We will have various vendors onsite from local pie maker, baker, brewmaster, blacksmith, and will have those items for sale. We also will have pumpkins and mums for sale. We also build high quality picnic tables for adults and child size and those will be for sale.
We are on the Sante Fe Trail, and we have trails cut through field for hiking/walking. We will have our Nigerian Dwarf Goats available for the public to meet and will talk about their importance as hearty milkers.
Kids will enjoy interacting with the goats, play areas, hiking and walking, and a hand apple press to make apple cider.
