At White Tail Run Winery, our farm is more than a place — it’s a living story rooted in family, hard work, and community.

Dan Sr. has lived on this property since 1976, and it has always been a true family farm. What began with cattle, pigs, and horses reflects the agricultural heritage that shaped our foundation. Over time, that legacy evolved. In 2003, the land transitioned into a vineyard, and by 2010 we began producing award winning Kansas Table wines — combining our farming roots with a passion for creating something people could gather around and enjoy.

Today, while we’re proud of the wine we craft, White Tail Run is about much more than what’s in the glass. Our goal is to share the authentic charm of farm life with the public in a welcoming and accessible way. We want guests to slow down, enjoy open skies and rolling countryside, and experience the connection that comes from gathering together in a rural setting.

In 2023, we expanded that vision by opening our 18-hole disc golf course, adding another way for families and friends to enjoy the property. Blending agriculture, recreation, and hospitality allows us to create a space that feels uniquely White Tail Run — where you can sip wine, play a round, attend a themed event, or simply relax on the patio.

Culturally, we reflect the spirit of a Midwest family farm: hardworking, community-minded, and rooted in tradition while still embracing creativity and growth. From cattle and horses to vines and vintages, our story is one of thoughtful evolution — always family-owned, always community-focused.

As we continue to grow, our goals remain centered on responsible land stewardship, sustainability, and creating meaningful experiences that bring people together. White Tail Run Winery is, and always will be, a place that feels like home.

We grow 3 different grape varietals (Seyval, LaCrosse, and Chambourcin) and then craft those grapes into award-winning Kansas Table Wines.

We will be giving tours of the vineyard, inside our wine processing area where we will walk through the steps of wine production from grapes to bottling, and will allow farm tour guests that are 21+ to sample 2 wines for free.

Visitors can purchase glasses or bottles to take home as well as items from our retail shop that include wine glasses, wine bottle necklaces, wine jelly, disc golf discs and clothing. We will also have food options available for tour guests.

Kids: We will have our 1948 Farmall Cub Tractor out for children to sit on as well as yard games. Still considering other kid-friendly options.
